Tactical by name and tactical by nature, the Lancer Tactical AK-Series AK-74N is a superb emulation of the classic AK-47 design. Its solid steel construction is accented by a wood handguard, giving the rifle a realistic look. And with its metal barrel and receiver, it’s more than capable of withstanding repeated sessions.
The rifle’s curved trigger nestles neatly around your finger, meaning you don’t have to worry about slips when you fire. Accuracy is also enhanced thanks to a seat of rear iron sights, which are fully adjustable.
That adjustability extends to the Version 3 AK hop-up, which allows you to adjust how much backspin you put on your BBs on the fly. A Version 3 gearbox also ensures the rifle receives plenty of power while minimizing the jamming issues that can be a nightmare in competitions.
Capable of firing up to 25 rounds per second, the gun’s rapid-fire mode makes it great for spraying pellets when faced with multiple targets. You also get a cleaning rod and a bag of 1,000 BBs in the box, giving you plenty to get started with.
However, the 11.1-volt Stick LiPo battery you’ll need to get the gun working doesn’t come in the box. You’ll also need to get your hands on an appropriate charger when you acquire that battery.
